Well, I'm alive! Made 6/9 lifts: Squat = 82.5kg, failed 1st attempt at 87.5kg, got it on final lift; Bench = 40kg, 42.5kg, failed 45kg; Deadlift = 110kg, 122.5kg, failed 127.5kg (I was on the platform for what felt like ages trying to grind it out, but just couldn't move my hips or shoulders to get the lift!

Am now shattered, DOMS is most definitely settling in, a little disappointed I didn't get what I wanted, but still got a comp PB in all three lifts. Really enjoyed the experience, and now looking forward to building on it and getting stronger.

Well done, I_W - you've nearly tempted me back to lifting!
I'm dieting and training for fat loss at the moment so avoiding heavy weights. I know this is a running site, but I do hate it as an exercise ;)

Building confidence a bit now with box jumps, I'm consistently getting onto the 20 inch box. Not up to doing it in a workout yet but I'm definitely improving. After my major wobble a few weeks ago and nearly crying in the gym when I told them how bad I'm feeling I'm slowly starting to feel a bit better. *I've pulled back on the heavy stuff and I'm concentrating more on form.* Tonight was muscle snatches followed by overhead squats and wall balls. The final bit in teams of two 50 cal row buy in 50 hand stand press ups (pike press ups off the box for me) then a 50 cal row buy out.

Shifts on placement are making getting to the gym difficult as well as all the studying. I'm just doing what I can when I can and that has to be enough for now.

*Heaviest weight on muscle snatch was 17kg and overhead squat was 12 kg

About This Thread

... a weights wire for women.

And in case you're wondering about that title, well, I like alliteration and one can be too po-faced about the use of girl/lady/woman.
