Duracell
Still struggling to fit my stuff in, and work is only going to get worse.
(this week, for example, I am away from home for 4 days)
I have no access to "proper" strength training equipment, and then I just beat myself up even more for missing sessions, and making no progress!

I need to lose over two stone, and considering a move back into running - at least I can do that anywhere.
Need something FUN though ;)

CMR - Yes the hang was another interesting takeaway. £70 sounds good? How are you progressing it? The one issue with one session is some issues/errors will take awhile to solve.

Duracell don't underestimate the resistance band exercises, or just body weight stuff for that matter! Have a look at "redefining strength" on FB and YouTube, lots of ideas for workouts which require little or no equipment

SPR - it’s going to be occasional 1:1 sessions & video analysis. She uses the Hudl Technique app, I’d not come across it before. It allows you to send videos which she can then slo mo & add audio critique to.

Duracell - there’s a couple of ex semi pro rugby players, I think they’re UKSCA registered, have a website called School of Callisthenics. They have a free beginners guide to callisthenics you can download. Won’t do much for your Strongman training, but it may give you something to do without kit.

Sounds good CMR, is the video analysis included in the £70? Keep us informed of your progress.

Aborted my session today, too tired. Did some hang snatch and drop snatch before abandoning the session. Nothing to worry about, just adapting to lifting and running again, in addition to not getting enough sleep last night.

So, PT asked last night if I would ever do a powerlifting competition (he said it was telling when he asked if I wanted to change my strength routine, but I said I want to try another cycle or two of my current programme, as I think I can go heavier). A couple of his clients are aiming to compete by the end of the year, and he's suggested I aim for a bit later. Just the small issue of having to learn to bench press! (And upper body not as strong). Will need to look into it more, but I am intrigued...

He wouldn't suggest it if he didn't think you were up to it, IW. :-)

Flattering in a good way!

We'll see! Just ordered a better weight belt and a deadlift wedge. Did 4 rep max at 75kg for deadlift today, then 3 more sets at 67.5kg. Think back may be a little stiff tomorrow - not painful, just 'used' (think may be from good mornings as well).

... a weights wire for women.

And in case you're wondering about that title, well, I like alliteration and one can be too po-faced about the use of girl/lady/woman.

Here's a strength standards for women thing Duracel found for us
