Sounds like the issue I have SharonD. I have tried to concentrate on the required muscles but my back always seems keen to kick in first 😕

Too wet for light and quick reps at track, so I decided to have a bash at my competition season gym session. Well, some of it. Having decided I did n;t know what he meant I found I preferred to lie on the floor and stare at the ceiling instead of doing 'pull ups from the floor (alternate leg lifts)' I DID do the 10 mins mobility and muscle activation (big deal me!) And there were squats and burpees and even 5 press ups. Have turned into complete lightweight. |

Lol Sharkie sometimes it's ok to "just not feel it" you are not a complete lightweight! Now drop down and give me 20! 😉

Some new things in strength session with PT tonight. Back squats with a pause on a box at the bottom to unload the quads, then power up again - had to be rescued a couple of times when my legs just wouldn't lift me again! Also deadlifted from the floor for the first time (had done stiff leg & rack pulls before), and lifted 70kg. Then tried some lunges with the bar on my back. Will hurt tomorrow!

Ooh interesting Brig! Glutes are still pretty achy, and lower back is pretty stiff - it took me a little while to get the hang of using the right muscles in the new deadlifts, so think back was used a bit much.
