Norman Hartnell and YSL!
I had some of my granny’s old embroidery magazines and they came with transfers in them. I ended up donating them to the 2nd hand craft shop as I knew I had no use for them and would rather someone did. I do remember using transfers to embroider flower motifs onto hankys when I was a child.

Embroidery is definitely still a thing though. My daughter did a nice kit recently and my brother started getting into it over lockdown when he couldn’t go to pottery.

I have some Christmas decorations to embroider (something I started last year). I do like it but am not very experienced so tend to get over-judgmental about the results! Growing up, we had tablecloths with embroidered flowers on them.

Those designs are fantastic.

I started embroidering Corinne Lapiere’s 12 days of Christmas ornaments. I’m still on the partridge!

I bought a couple of kits when you mentioned them last year, @HellsBells - they are still in their boxes, I think.

Will see if there are any more transfers :)

So I’m merrily knitting my jumper in the round doing a 2:2 rib
I keep having to stop to let the wool unwind
Any suggestions as to how to stop this?

Corinne Lapiere is the embroidery I still have to do I think - five felt birds. I did two Dalarna horses last year.
