Hope you heal quickly, Tikka, so you can get back to knitting.

I'm definitely a process knitter, I love knitting lacey things but would never wear them. Once I've finished something, I also tend to lose interest in it and just want to start the next thing.

At least that's how it was until my arthritic thumbs objected. I had a discussion with a friend with a similar problem, and we both noted how our joints have improved - perhaps we should get the needles and yarn out again? Then we decided the improvement could well be because we haven't been knitting.

Glad it’s not worse Tikka
I spend far too much time on Ravelry - mainly on the Archers thread!
I braved the bag of WOOPS last night - a complicated lace and cable pattern scarf in alpaca silk lace weight I’d like to finish and a jumper to frog - not too bad.
The cat jumper is nearly dry so that will be tomorrow’s priority

Good news Tikka - hopefully you won’t be too sore and/or out if action for too long…

Pleased to hear that, Tikka. Funnily enough I was told the same thing about being relaxed when I was knocked off my bike nearly 30 years ago - I didn't see it coming so I didn't tense up and didn't break anything.

WOOP = work out of progress?

Thought I had finished my first pair of socks. Unfortunately I am now trying to unpick the kitchener stitch as I had started the toe decrease in the wrong place in the round so everything is wonky.

Why didn't I put in a life-line before I started the decrease for the toes?!

There are forums and threads on Ravelry?! Oh dear oh dear.

I just use the advanced pattern search (note to self: do not look at intimate apparel, there are some things you can't unsee).

Feeling smug now for cataloguing my latest stash additions.

one of my offspring helped me sort out some of my wool stash. I am now knitting them a hat in purple and neon orange. They have bright blue hair. I think they will be visible from space
