Thanks ET I’ve reserved the copy from the library to see if it’s worth buying. Any new knitting will have to wait until I’ve finished Dennis the Menace for my sister’s foster son

Thought I'll ask on here - I want to make a memory bear from my Commonwealth Games volunteer polo shirt (and maybe trousers) so does anyone have a pattern they can recommend?

I am trying to think of the right word for basic cotton curtain material and failing! Is there a specific name for a plain, heavyish woven cotton?

Not sure. Would it have the word ‘upholstery’ in it? Canvas also describes a heavy woven cotton but perhaps too heavy for curtains

Canvas is as close as I could get in my head but in my mind it's a lot stiffer than what I'm looking for.
