Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

So do I Doc. I’ve not got the right size needles but I’ve had a try with bigger ones and they are really tricky to start (start at the neck, in the round, with 26 stitches)

I’m looking at the wool I would need for the wrap and I think it’s going to be way too expensive to contemplate.

I guess I need to learn more about different wools. It says to use 100% merino wool in Aran weight.

You can use any Aran weight yarn, though some fibres would be a better choice than others. I wouldn’t use cotton as it would be way too heavy, alpaca would be very drapey and very, very warm. I’d probably look at something like Drops Alaska woolwarehouse.co.uk

At £3.60 per 100g it would be cheaper than a merino.

Thanks HB, that would definitely make it much more affordable.

I'd use a washable wool/acrylic mix, but I'm a bit of a heathen.
