Not posted much in here because my craftjo disappeared. However, I have recently picked up my fabric and colouring things again and present to you: 2 dresses, 1 pair of leggings and a skirt, a painting I did today of a butterfly, and 4 drawings I did recently.

Your Kermit is so realistic I thought it was a photo!

Great work, glad you found your mojo!

I just can’t find anything nice to say about sewing bee any more! I didn’t watch the last series! I don’t feel like I missed much.

Sorry if this has been asked/answered before (I have four months of this to catch up on...).

Is there a good site for sewing patterns? I use ravelry for crochet (and knit), but not stumbled across a sewing equivalent. I'm not confident enough to just make things up / adapt random patterns (like I would recipes for cooking or baking).

Jen Ho Ho Ho B That looks great - did you sew the new fabric over the top of the original, or replace it?

I like Jaycotts for traditional patterns. There’s lots of newer designers now and lots of independents. There doesn’t seem to be anywhere that pulls them al together like ravelry does.
I like hard copy paper patterns and don’t get on with print a t home pdf’s - other people prefer the other way.
I’ve recently used patterns from The Avid Seamstress and Liesl and co and liked them both very much.
Patterns have got very expensive though - £15 is not unusual

It depends what I want to make, I always go to google first if I’m looking for a pattern and give myself an idea of what I’m looking for! I have found free basic patterns for things like tops, bags and skirts.

I’ve got stuff from Minerva - they usually have a link to relevant patterns the day after sewing bee too (I may have bought a paper bag shorts pattern last year 👍)
