Lovely. I don’t know if it’s because I’m left handed or just because (like Vrap said) I’ve practiced using them more but I feel happier using DPNs than circulars. I’m still using up my wool stash by knitting mittens that I hope will be good enough to donate to charity.

I'm a leftie too, Ness, and I like circulars. But I've not really tried DPNs. I think I'd lose all the stitches off the other end of them.

Thanks for the thoughts on DPNs. I shall keep practising! My DPNs are wooden and the stitches stayed in place nicely - I ended up more worried about ladders when switching between needles than dropping stitches. I've noticed those mini-circulars for tiny circumferences, and also a few articles about using a long circular in a 'magic loop' style too, so might give those a test too.

I'm also a leftie, but knit right-handed.
