Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Yes I did WL I cut out the pieces today for the small one using stuff from my stash, but decided to spend the rest of the day in the garden since it was so sunny. Might have a go at it tomorrow

And here it is! A wee bit fiddly in places but pleased with the result. And the new sewing machine is so easy to use.

Yes that's the small size which I'd happily use as a handbag. the outside material was leftovers from kitchen curtains from my old flat, must be about 15 years ago.

I just wanted to try out the pattern first and only made one wee error which I managed to fix. Next one will be a bit more funky
Love the spool holder I'm not at that stage yet but...

I seem to have turned my crafting attention towards Mr D this weekend. As background, he wears short sleeved shirts (never long sleeved) and likes bright colours and flamboyant prints.

1. He bought a shirt from Desigual which turned out to have long sleeves. But he really liked the design. So I shortened the sleeves, and made a mask out of the remnants :-)

2. I'm now halfway through making a shirt out of this fabric for him africanfabric.co.uk using McCalls pattern M6932 https://jaycotts.co.uk/products/m6932?variant=790783869. I've successfully wrangled the collar, and now just have the sleeves and buttons to do. And there'll be a matching mask too :-) Lots of learning opportunities on this - the first time I've done a collar (all in one, but still...) and there's an interesting facing configuration, plus doing felled seams too. All good.
