Question for the knitters I have a skein that I want to knit with double (as in 2 strands instead of 1 to make it thicker) what's the best way to do this? |

EP I would wind them into Individual balls, and then just hold them together as I knitted them. Depending on your knitting style and how well behaved they are you might want/need to put them in separate bags/one on each side of you etc so they don’t tangle whilst you‘re knitting!

I‘d wind it into 2 balls, you can knit with 2 ends of the same ball but I get into an awful tangle if I try

so I need to unwind the skein chop in 2 then wind? Or is there a smart way to split the skein? |

Weigh the skein, start winding, weigh the ball - when it‘s half the weight, cut and start again
