Aren't you supposed to hang the mini skeins on your tree? ;)

You might be best waiting till you've got all the mini skeins and then decide what you can make with them.

Is it one particular type/weight of yarn, Pix? That'll make a difference to what you can do with it. 24 x 20g skeins + a 100g skein of 4-ply = at the very least, a cropped jumper in your size.

Exciting!

(I wouldn't know what to do with two dozen mini skeins - I have enough of a challenge using up my large remnants as it is. You could have a lot of stripey hats and socks, though :) )

If they're colourful I'd be doing stripes against a plain or black background. There are also some fantastic patterns with mosaic knitting, you only knit one colour each row but it looks more complex because you slip stitches.

Ravelry is great for seeing what other projects people have done and how a pattern fits with different yarns.

came with a stocking to put them in and a bag of stitch and progress markers (no idea which is which or indeed why they are different!)

So obviously to do it properly I open each packet on the stated day in December but would it be wrong to open the stocking now (I mean surely I should add the mini's into it!?!?!?) and the markers?!

this is a happy christmas me so therefore didn't break the yarn diet!
