no idea what to do with the yarn from Oliver either .. loads of it. The silk Aran is so soft but discontinued so need a pattern that won't need more - Ravelry mainly has cardigans and jumpers using it.
Also have about 160g of Italian 2ply navy soft yarn so guess that's asking for a lacey thing

Is it Christmas? decorate

;)

I've broken into a ball of fugly sock yarn that one of my girls chose at Woolfest. I thought it would do for hiking socks because it's two colours plied together, which I don't like - it reminds me of the mill-ends jumpers my mother used to knit -and some of the colours look muddy already. But it's actually knitting up lovely :)

*chuckles* That's one way to think of it!;) That's another thing I can do this weekend...deskein some yarn to start more socks and maybe plan for some fingerless mitts for when the office gets chilly.

Stitch markers are normally solid rings that slip on your needles at whatever point in your row/round you need to keep place, progress markers have clips that you can attach to a stitch, to mark a point you need yo measure from or so you can see how much you've knitted in any given time. Progress markers can also be used to mark stitches in crochet....

Lovely free patterns - chose 1 with code YAYAMANO.

NB: When I applied the code, I got a message saying it wasn't eligible for the promotion, but the price had reduced to Free/£0.00 so I went ahead anyway and it seems to have worked.

Yay, knitter’s choice time!! Amano Yarns is giving away one pattern of your choice until Oct. 26 midnight ET. There are 24 to choose from, use code “YAYAMANO”!
