Oh, I remember those ponchos (the first one) SK. A few of my friends had those as children!

I love the idea of ponchos, but am pretty certain i'd never actually wear it...

I had a lovely red wool cabled poncho from Next and only wore it twice. It broke my heart to get rid of it, but the alternative was to look like an overstuffed tomato.

I have one that I love wearing in the Spring / Autumn with heeled boots. But it's got a polo neck and it messes up my hair whenever I take it off. And I get in a bit of a state sometimes trying to put it on too, unless I have adult supervision. So, anyway, I think I'm in the market for another poncho.

I had a black one that was really useful over a dressy outfit. But it's long gone and I can't imagine I'd wear one, which is a shame as they look fun to knit. I like the crochet ones too, but would be even less likely to wear it!

Drum-roll please...

I have a FO to declare

ravelry.com

I've put the Attic24 blanket to one-side to focus on presents. These are for my Mum, it's her birthday in September. She took a shine to the stripey ones I made for myself (which she tried to pinch) so I made her a pair of her own. I've found a pattern for a crochet anemone that I'll make into a brooch for her too.

Then it's onto baby blankets, ponchos, howls and pixie slippers.
