It seems nice to work with and much more malleable than the sirdar. It needs to hold a bit of structure as it's got mesh and motifs, but I think it will work well

Must put it down and go to bed, it's too tempting to do 'just one more row'

"design seeds" Helegant's imagination explodes with ideas.

"... cutting things out of magazines..." Helegant's brain looks at the opportunity to create more clutter in her home and steps back from the brink.

Thanks! I think I need to make it longer but can't decide which bit of the pattern to repeat. But I can do the sections and add later if needed. Not adding sleeves.

I've spent today here. fibre-east.co.uk
Mostly watching other people blow their budgets. e.g. £993 for a spinning wheel. I tried it and was rubbish. Phew!

There was some sort of historical re-enactment on the field, live sheep shearing, fleeces for sale - all sorts from rare breeds to more common, carding, spinning machines, dyes and indi dyers, big name brands, weavers, spinners, some hand-made clothes, silk, wool, beads, felting, LYS, food, drink & cake (even Bedfordshire Clangers), wool mattresses and duvets - all sorts. The only thing that was missing, from my perspective, was bobbin lace.
