Vrap that skirt - did you say double knit worked ok? Could I use 2 contrasting colours? Would need to make it longer mind!!

Pix, double knit worked for me. Do a swatch for gauge, though, because the pattern is for fingering. I used the M stitch counts for Tink's skirt, but in fingering she'd have needed L plus an extra pattern repeat (but not quite XL).

The pattern also continues to flare out at the tail, but I tapered Tink's skirt in.

Look at the projects on Ravelry. There are around 60 FOs, and all sorts of colour schemes have been used.

I can't see any reason why it wouldn't work. Does it feel as if it would cope with you sitting down in it and not form bobbles under your bottom?
