Oh and @geordiebells - the harrier poles come with a fixed 'mud basket' which is supposed to clip the poles together but doesn't and is a bit annoying when packing away

For some unknown reason, I am trying out solo again, yes. Hoping to be better prepared this time as last time I tried solo my feet disintegrated 🙈 Part of that is more socks changes but also poles to alleviate some of the pressure from the couple of decent hills.

Yes changes are good. I’ve done solo 2-3 times best being 34m

I managed 43.5 miles but I was much thinner, younger and less tired then so we shall see if I can train enough to get to 100k this time. Dragged by poles will count I hope...

What’s that? I don’t recall that with my catbells or noticed it with the carbons

I think I’ll return these and make a decision later.

Now to decide on the race vest I like it on but not sure how much I’d get in the snack pockets if I have water bottles in. I must fill it up with all the kit and see how it works then.

I've got Leki poles for trail running. They were expensive (Christmas present), but I've found they make a huge difference on hilly terrain whether going up (extra push) or down (balance) 🙂
