Carp, I did absolutely hate it at the time.... brother spoke to me about it being a hard mental challenge... by the next day I was up for another go. Challenge and all that, nothing worth having comes easy..... Got a year to focus and up the mileage. I have a loop round my house which is slopy and measures about 1.3miles - looks like I will be running round and round and round. See you there next year!

I think that GPS does generally measure long on the course. I've run quite a few 10K's around Cyclopark and looking back, the last one measured 6.26 miles for a 10K. This race was 4 laps on the "long" lap version of the course that we did on KRR last year. If you extrapolate that from 4 laps to 20, you get 1mile of difference.

My garmin registered 26.73 on Saturday and I can assure that I was taking the racing line wherever possible.

I've also run races in the opposite direction and I can tell you all that it's not necessarily any easier going the other way round as RFJ will confirm. Get those hill sessions in as running down Tourettes Hill takes it's toll on the legs as much as the run back up the hills on the other side.

Just checked and in last years race, I clocked 26.53. Again I was on the racing line wherever possible and it was only 17 laps instead of 20.

Reviewed over on RW. Hopefully it conveys how much I enjoyed the day.

I hate to ask, as I feel that I've already had more than enough for my entry fee, but last year I recall lap times being emailed out. Will it happen this year. Completely not a problem if it's not possible. As I said, hate to ask but I'm dying to know if I ran even splits.

Thanks for a great race whatever, looking forward to Coyote already.

Macca, yes, I read either on the website or email that lap splits would be emailed. I'm eagerly awaiting mine.

Yeah, looking back to last year, I think it was about 10 days after the race that I got the lap splits through.
