You are a star, RFJ, it makes such a difference having you cheering us all on. I'm not sure how you do it, but I'm very glad that you do :-)

I echo Toks, RFJ you were awesome as always, I don't know how you kept up a constant flow of encouragement and support but you did.

My Garmin obviously went totally doolally - I measured 26.26 at the end of the penultimate lap and nearly cried, I had thought I was on for such a great time :(
Garmin thought I'd done 27.59 even though I followed the racing line mostly. Bloody thing. I'm not wearing it next year; I'll wear a stopwatch and one of the pace bands based on laps.

A great race, immaculately organised and great support from RFJ, all the marshals and spectators. Thanks all!

Just one thing though (and I accept I might well be outvoted 499 to 1 on this). Was there anyone else who would actually have preferred a medal that was more in keeping with the size of medals from other races? My wife said 'that's a breastplate, not a medal' and I am worried that if I hang it with the rest, the whole collection will fall off the wall!

I seem to remember it was the attraction of the medal which made me entered, and stopped me from giving in. I was not going home without HUGE medal. Place it on a sturdy piece of furniture as opposed to hang on wall. Well done on earning it.

Any minor errors will be magnified over laps. Was a great day out though. Lovely to see so many people.
