The same with St George's Day. Having a 10 in 10 days in the summer was a good idea for those in teaching. There was always a food theme or a historical event to commemorate. No chip timing when I took part but it was a bit quirky to have your lap tag clipped while making use of the very well-stocked aid station. Always glad to ring the bell when you finished.

Agree that SVN are a great events organiser, I have found them particularly useful when I need to do something like a 20 mile training run, much easier having nearby aid station with lots of goodies instead of having to carry everything!
