After 14 years, SVN are calling it a day. Their final events will be in September 2014.

Although most of their races are in Kent, I have found their marathon and timed events to be fun with great theming and excellent goody bags. It will be a shame to see another great race organiser go.

They will be sadly missed, I've only done 20 events with them 12 ultras & 8 marathons but always a good craic & a good medal.

Their Marathon Day Marathon (26 February) always looked a good idea but never worked out for me. The same with St George's Day. Having a 10 in 10 days in the summer was a good idea for those in teaching. There was always a food theme or a historical event to commemorate.

No chip timing when I took part but it was a bit quirky to have your lap tag clipped while making use of the very well-stocked aid station. Always glad to ring the bell when you finished.

Fragile Do Not Bend
Runbelievable are taking over their events though, so hopefully not much practical difference.

Agree that SVN are a great events organiser, I have found them particularly useful when I need to do something like a 20 mile training run, much easier having nearby aid station with lots of goodies instead of having to carry everything! :)

Wow, 700 events over 14 years! I think i've actually only done one? Maybe two? But always checked their site to see if any events meet my plans.

Best of luck to them.
