Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Slight wobble about halfway but strong finish. Very nice indeed!

Yeah, I went off a bit faster than I'd planned and got scared so eased off a bit in the second 500m. At halfway it wasn't hurting as much as I expected so I started pushing on again.

By my fingernails at the end, Jef. I could see it slipping over the last 3 or 4 strokes. Happy with the result, pleased that the pacing was reasonably well controlled, and having had the best part of 2 weeks off the erg during the month I’ve got to be satisfied.

Are you still planning a 2k this weekend Jef?

Top job Nellers and nice improvement, I bet you enjoyed seeing your average pace drop to sub 1:50 in the last couple of hundred metres 💪

Nellers. The plan was today but I’ve been in bed for 24 hrs with suspected food poisoning.

I’m hoping to do one ASAP. Keen to find how the training g has gone.

Craggy I was in the process of blowing up as the ave split dropped below 1:50 so I guess there was a limited amount of joy from it!

Jef That’s rough, mate. Take care of yourself and feel better soon.

I looked at the distance table on Saturday and thought, I wonder how long I'll be in top place.

Sure enough ... :-)

And rather warm here today. Did 8000m at UT1 and nearly dissolved in perspiration. I might need to rehydrate in the local this evening.

I got my 4 x 3 min @ r28 done early enough that it was fairly bearable in the shed, Muttley, but its scorchio here now.
