Well done Nellers. That didn't take long, you're obviously a chap with skills in demand!

Clearly there's a market for middle aged white guys who aren't as fit as they want to be and can talk passionately about a single piece of gym equipment.;-)

10km this morning broken down as 4/3/2/1km pieces with 2/1:30/1 minute breaks. Each one slightly faster than the previous. Quite enjoyed that. I'm quite enjoying this "making it up as I go along" thing for a few days.

Nothing wrong with making it up as you go along. I've been doing it for years and not just on the erg ...

Don't often do a 15km steady state but that's what I pulled off the shelf today and I got an accidental PB. Fact is I've only ever done this as a steady aerobic effort and today was no different in terms of effort so it's no great shakes but it must be a good sign right?

I'm thinking I'll be working on getting a half marathon PB over the next month or 2, although I seem to remember thinking that last year then life happened and it was randomness and stop/start through the rest of the year.

Don't know if I mentioned that I bought a clock with a thermometer and humidity sensor for the shed a few weeks back.

Did a steady state 10k this morning. It read -1.7 c when I got in and started. It ws up to 5.5 c by the time I was done.

And a bit steamy too I expect, Nellers. I have a similar readout in the lounge, where I do my erging. I fancied it in the shed but it didn't pan out for varying reasons. Generally the temp here is a steady 18-19 degrees according to the readout but it is gratifying to see it rise to 20-21 by the time I finish. I am my own central heating radiator :-)

Just bimbling along on the erg, I think it was the right thing to start over. Steady 20 minutes done this morning and feeling good.

the humidity sensor only ever goes up to 95%. Is that a maximum reading or would I be getting clouds forming in there if it actually went above 95%?

Work hard enough and you could create your own personal cooling mizzle cloud :-)

Morning oars-people. If you aren't a regular listener to the Fetcheveryone Podcast this week might be a good one to start. The rowing thread and league gets a bit of a mention, and Fetch has remedied the issue of confusion between m and km to correct the league for us.

In other news I was out last night for my twins 19th birthday so I'm feeling a little bit more full than I usually do in the mornings and I'll consequently be getting in the shed a little later than usual to burn some of that off!
