Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I weighed in yesterday and it wasn’t as bad as I expected. Unfortunately still have some Christmas chocolate left so I’ll have to ration those!

Get well soon Snail.

I'm a bit behind, but would like to shift around a stone. We are almost through the Christmas food apart from the cheese, but I've had enough of it now and am just about at the salad-craving stage of the festive season. This morning's weight was a bit of a shocker, but fat % was low so it's probably water retention.

Get well soon Snail

I am up 5lb since holiday which went straight into Xmas festivities so hopefully a bit of routine will come off reasonably well (although we know it’s not that easy) but good to be back into routine.

I spotted some fancy scales in the gym today. Electric handholds as well as footplates. So ...

In gym gear (no shoes) after a run and a swim, and only a light breakfast: 81.7 kg (porky)
Skeletal muscle mass: c 30% (normalish)
Body fat: c 35% (blubbery)

If that's correct (and I do have some scepticism about such devices in general) I have about 29kg of fat. Eep :-o

My gym has a similar body analyser which I used and find the results consistent, as long as I'm not dehydrated.

I have my 6 week review on Thursday, am hoping my body fat % has dropped down into 'normal ' range.

First week done and I’ve lost two and a quarter pounds. Happy with that as I’ve still been eating bread every day. 😁
