Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

The IE problem - failing to recognise the plug-in - now seems to have spread to Chrome too. Firefox is working ok...

Lums, took me ages to find the folder, but I found these 2 links helpful:

I am having the same problem, with the system not being able to "find" the Garmin. I thought it might be my new laptop, whcih runs the latest version of OSX, but I seem to hav the same problem with the old laptop now, too. think it's something to do with the 310XT and the latest communicator upgrade. can't find the files, though Connect seems to be able to find them provided I manually re-set the watch to "enable pairing" each time.

I have given up trying and have reverted to uploading FIT files - the plug-in seems to be very temperamental - like BB I thought it was the laptop.

I can't do FIT files from my 305, which is a pain. Even today I had trouble getting it to recognise my 110 to find the FIT file, but that's down to the silly connector clip.

I can't download the plug in, I've run it, completed the wizard then it comes back with 'you do not have communicator plugin'
I've done this about 5 times now...
Can anyone help please?

What browser are you using Slow Sam ? It's not Internet Explorer 11 is it ? If so, there is a huge problem with IE11 ( big message at the top of the page, but easy to miss it if not looking for it ), use Chrome or Firefox instead.

If you are already using Chrome or Firefox, then I don't know :-)

Hmmmmm How do I know which Explorer I'm on? How do I change to chrome or firefox?

Sorry, I'm not very technically minded...
Thank you K5 Gus

About This Thread

Just a little note to say thanks for all the comments here and via feedback. The test phase was useful for knocking off a lot of bugs, but there's nothing like the thrill of putting something live to really get that usability feedback flowing :-)

Here's the TO DO list following feedback from users:

1) Solution for only showing runs since last update - DONE
2) Links on successful import to allow direct route to edit/view - DONE
3) Avoid reloading data on choosing different time view.
4) Stop people pressing the button more than once - DONE
5) Auto detect sport where available.
6) Fix rogue pace zones (reported by Duchess, MacApple et al)
7) Max speed (for Mick173)
8) Smoother import of elevation data.
