Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Yesterday I installed the latest version of IE 11.

When I came to upload from my Garmin it didn't recognise that I had the Garmin Plugin. I tried reinstalling it but it didn't work.
I have now uninstalled IE 11 and am once again able to upload from my Garmin with no issues using IE 10.
Is there an issue with IE 11?

Yes, there is Ras. It's made by Microsoft.

Use Firefox or Chrome instead ;-)

Dark ages of IE 9 here, so can't help Ras.

I use IE, Firefox, and Chrome in different phases on home PC, and can't honestly say I find any of them are significantly better or worse than each other. Occasional problems on all 3.

Ras, the link I posted on the previous page suggests that yes there is a problem with IE 11. It's a bit paranoid. I suppose the only way to be genuinely secure on the internet is not to go on the internet at all, but that isn't really a solution either.

Hello. I downloaded Chrome instead of IE11 and my communicator plugin works again.

Karma restored.

Just took delivery of new Garmin Forerunner 620, no ANT stick all wireless and Bluetooth connectivity. Anyone else using it and does it work on Fetch? First run tomorrow so will give it a try

OK so feedback, I have done my first run connected Garmin via USB charger to laptop used the Garmin Communicator upload option of Fetch and before I could blink run was uploaded with all the extra stats the new 620 has to offer. Great as always Fetch. And if anyone is thinking about buying a 620 after one run I wouldn't swap mine for anything.

I looked at extensive reviews of the 620 and 220. For me the 220 would do everything I need, *except* for proper GPS navigation. I don't use it that often, but sometimes I like to find my way back if I've been distracted by deer or something. That's the one thing that'll keep with with my 310.

I've been unable to upload using the Communicator plug in or just using FIT file import for the past couple of days... anyone any ideas?

Ta.

About This Thread

Just a little note to say thanks for all the comments here and via feedback. The test phase was useful for knocking off a lot of bugs, but there's nothing like the thrill of putting something live to really get that usability feedback flowing :-)

Here's the TO DO list following feedback from users:

1) Solution for only showing runs since last update - DONE
2) Links on successful import to allow direct route to edit/view - DONE
3) Avoid reloading data on choosing different time view.
4) Stop people pressing the button more than once - DONE
5) Auto detect sport where available.
6) Fix rogue pace zones (reported by Duchess, MacApple et al)
7) Max speed (for Mick173)
8) Smoother import of elevation data.
