Good. Felt much stronger, despite the bitter cold. A better pace than I’ve been achieving of late. Hopefully it means that consistent training is paying off.

Today I was recovering from yesterday's long run. It was radiantly sunny, though a bit cold at 1C. I spotted some dog-trainers (not a type of shoe).

Nice easy 4 miles ending at the beach. 10 x 10 second strides on the hard sand in the edge of the breaking waves forcing me to concentrate on running form or get a soaking. Moved to the soft dry sand for some running drills. Then a easy couple of miles back to the van. Nice end to the week

10pm Showery start, soon dry; fresh WSW breeze and an incoming tide. Lakes & trails to the Freeport boundary, then dodging the waves along the beach, u-turning in Blundellsands. Trails past the baths, a hint of prom then down the coastal park.

[I spent rather too long wondering how you run -1 miles there before I cottoned on]

Frost just settling on car roofs last night as I walked home from a 'dark' hour's running without my headtorch. :-o Full moon probably saved me from seeking out the dips, burrows and flotsam en route. More lighted path, prom & street than usual: turned round at coastguard station for an 'interesting' trail mile over Burbo Bank! Finished along the beach as tide approached high water. 61 min.
