Sometimes writing it down helps HB. I know that's certainly the case with me. Whether you share it publicly or just do it as a form of self checking, that's up to you.

My McMillan therapist encouraged me to write down my worries as it helps to stop them spinning round your head. I worry about my children who all live away from home. Particularly No2son who is a chef, who's job and rent may be at risk. I am happily ensconced in my spare room with my laptop WFH. They have told us that as we are "non essential" to the running of the council we must be ready to be re-deployed if necessary. I am looking forward to driving a refuse truck perhaps. |

One of my writing gang actually suggested keeping a diary or journal during this time as apart from anything else, it will be a very interesting period of history. While news and events are usually well recorded, individual's experiences are less easy to access for future historians. I did start writing something yesterday, partly to manage my own anxiety, but I am going to try and do 20 minutes per day just reflecting on what's happening and how I feel. |

Interesting, Scribbler. I've not found myself especially inspired by anything to do with the virus, but I have been amused by people's attempts to entertain others during these times

I've been writing a journa to my youngest Grandson since the night he was born, and it's his first birthday today. I did the same for his brother for almost 2 years. It's helped me to feel close to them. I'm sure when he gets to read about these times he'll find them very interesting.

Not sure if this will work - hopefully it will: This is a link to an article on coping with the current situation written by Russ Harris, author of The Happiness Trap. It’s a google doc and should be openly accessible to anyone and it can be shared with anyone. drive.google.com If it works 🤞 I hope it’s useful. |

I’ve been feeling quite surreal, like it’s all not quite real. I dropped into work today for a planning meeting (am using up annual leave). No idea how work or anything will change over the next few weeks... |
