Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Oh and thanks are not necessary but lovely to hear.

This thread wasn’t entirely altruistic. A few years ago I experienced a dark patch of anxiety and depression. One of the smallest things that had the biggest impact in helping me control that anxiety and feel better was to reach out via social media to people, simply asking ‘how are you’?

As I could feel anxiety creeping in, I thought I’d try it again. It’s working even better this time :-)

What a marvellous community this is x

Day 2 of homeschooling 3 kids, and working from home while confined (France), and it's Ok. Now just to work out when to go out (with written declaration) for my government - approved exercise!
Being able to vent here the other day really helped, so thank you scribbler.

My emotions are all over the place today but I think I'm resigned and reasonably comfortable with the thought of isolation, its better than being ill. Thanks for good wishes and treats for Indi. I'm trying not to focus on things I cant change; like how my son will survive if / when he catches it. I make no apology for repeating my fear for him ... this is the place to say it I think. Thank you. :)

A lovely idea in a very troubled time Scribbler.

We are on holiday in Oz, we went with the travel advice at the time and not been able to afford a £10k loss if we cancelled. However things are changing rapidly and not sure what will happen.

So we are taking every extra precaution possible and we are continuing with our plans. We did wine tasting at the hunter valley yesterday and pleaded to see Oz are very much continuing as normal as possible and saying today no lockdown imminent.

I saw my first kangaroos yesterday first 3 were a distance away the other 2 quite close and curious. The sun is shining after a few wet days so life is good and hope it stays level as we progress.
