Not sure if this is for anyone here, but Rick Beato just released an interview with Nuno Bettencourt. It’s long but I’ve just watched it all and I loved it. Had me laughing out loud at some of the stories, with little pieces about Eddie Van Halen (Nuno calls him Edward throughout), Brian May, Roger Daltrey, Paul McCartney etc. Nuno comes across as so humble but also amazingly enthusiastic and excited to be there, and he can play his stuff live with no click tracks or computers etc. 56 years old!
There’s lots of swearing but I found it brilliant.
In the last 25mins or so, Rick was handing Nuno guitars and he’s just jamming, and you can see he’s loving it. Fantastic.
I'm at the Roundhouse again this time to see The Big Moon. I'm in the circle seating for a change. There are quite a few parents here with kids, mostly girls. One girl just spotted one of The Big Moon at the back of the stage and screamed with joy.
I'm very excited to be seeing The Boo Radleys at Highbury Garage tonight. One of my top bands from the kind of britpop era, and I even like the last couple of recent albums. But it had completely passed me by that they were playing two sets on this tour, one of "hits and more" and then later the whole of the 'Giant Steps' album, which is still one of my all time favourites. Should be fun
