Diogenes - yes, it is, he's not been involved in the two recent albums I think. They both still sound like Boo Radleys songs though!

Yes, I listened to the most recent album and I agree that they 'sound' like Boo Radleys songs because the singer, Sice, is the same, but on subsequent listens I realised that the songs themselves aren't anywhere near as good. But the gig should be excellent, especially the older songs! :-)

Agreed. They're not bad albums, I don't think, but not as good as Giant Steps and C'mon Kids, and even Wake Up! has a few great songs on it.

Suspect it'll be a crowd of people my age only there for the hits :)

Wake Up! is a great and hugely underrated album IMHO.

Just booked to see Swans in Norwich on Aug 23rd.

Knew they were touring UK but was expecting to have to schlep into London rather than have them out here.....

I know it's not cool, but going to see Big Elton John tonight in Aberdeen!

Free tickets won on the radio about 3 years ago...!

Still, he's on of them big big acts that it's nice to say you've seen. He played a night already and I heard he was very good.

Managed to get tickets for Pixies in Manchester next March. They are playing Bossanova and Trompe Le Monde in their entireties for the first time ever. Little bit disappointed that they're not playing Doolittle which I think is among my all time favourite albums, but still can't wait!

Pixies are ace live, saw them in London earlier this year and they bashed through about 40 songs in two and a half hours. No chat, no thank yous, no messing...lots of fun!

I have Arctic Monkeys at Arsenal stadium tomorrow, with my 16 year old. Very much looking forward to that, I've not really "got" the last two albums but they're always great live, and judging by the setlist for the last few dates they're playing a really good variety of songs :) The Hives are supporting too, and they're ridiculously joyful live.

Boo Radleys were good on Wednesday as well, I do like Wake Up!, Diogenes but I tend to go back to individual tracks on that whereas I could listen to Giant Steps in full pretty often and not get bored of it.
