I'm on my own tonight to watch bandicoots at the prince of wales in Falmouth. Daughter doesn't want to come so it's just me.

After citing them as the worst gig I’ve been to in the last couple of years, the next gig I’m going to is Sleaford Mods!

I’m not expecting them to have improved, I’m just trying to be less of an anti social twat!

I actually love his lyrics and everything I see and hear suggests he is a top bloke, but I get bored of the monotonous delivery.

I like them in theory but they’re a bit Status Quo in the end - why would you want to hear more than one or two of their songs? ;-)

Yeah, it was monotonous. And not much interaction. Prefer shuffling a few songs in playlist on Spotify!

Talking of Spotify, I mentioned to some people last night that the She Drew The Gun tickets I bought recently were the first I had brought in response to a Spotify message saying 'this band you like are playing a concert near you'. This prompted the comment that it used to be a lot easier to find out about gigs because all upcoming tours and all the events over the next week were listed in the NME.

For my very favourite bands I will see announcements of their tours on Facebook as I follow them, but there have been other gigs I have not found out about until too late. So what does everyone find the best way to find out what's on?

I use ENTS24, they email a notification every time one of my followed bands announces a UK date.

I tend to rely on Facebook, either the artist or the venue usually announce upcoming events.

Sheffield Arena announced the upcoming ticket sales for Ariana Grande. Will probably join the bun fight for those. It's for my daughter...………..

I tend to rely on the emails from venues, but it means I wade through an awful lot of emails that have nothing relevant to me. I also follow one or two favourite acts on Twitter, or subscribe to their own mailing lists.
