gcwenn Dec 2018 3:04pm, 7 Dec 2018 2,837 posts	0 gcwenn I saw Airborne Toxic Event in the Leadmill................ well i drove all the way from South Manchester through rain coming down at like a monsoon only to find the event was cancelled because of a loss of power!!! The gig was rearranged and everything was ok that time!

There's unlikely to be a huge choice of gigs to go to but some more interesting acts I suppose. My sister and I were looking to get tickets for Rod Stewart for my parents (I have no idea what the appeal is, the stuff played on R2 is god awful). The price of tickets was ludicrous! I'd rather go see a less known band in a grimey, small venue.

HowFar? Dec 2018 8:21pm, 7 Dec 2018 13,229 posts	0 HowFar? I love the Leadmill. I used to go to RISE there now and again - brilliant hard house club night. Gcween - Airborne Toxic Event are one of my favourite live bands. The first time I saw them was at the Ritz in Manchester - complete with springy dance floor.
