I'm using talkytoaster and it is very good, but with my declining eyesight I do find it hard to see paths across certain landscapes with repeating patterns. Particularly difficult are the red dashed footpaths over the red striped military areas, over which I run quite regularly.

The TT maps are good. I fine the lovely new OLED screens help with readability a lot

Rosehip - yes, it was me. I've also stopped using them since I last changed device. They had a battery hit, I found that I prefer a paper OS map (or the OS App) and like many others my eyes aren't as young as they used to be! Instead I've updated the OSM maps that Garmin uses with all the missing local paths and tracks, so the standard maps will usually do the job.

Hoping for some advice. I've got a 645 music which has, until recently, behaved well. However, on several recent runs it's undermeasured the distance. This morning, I did Kingsbury parkrun at about 6:30 km pace (going on my finishing time) but it insisted I was doing between 7 and 7:10, and measured the course at 4.66km. It's a course I've done regularly over the years, and I've not had this issue there before. It's a two lap course and my Garmin measured me at a pretty consistent, but wrong, pace on both laps. A few weeks ago at Tamworth, it had a similar wobble but only for around a km of the course. I know the accuracy can fluctuate a bit, but this is well beyond that. Has anybody had this happen and managed to cure it?

Hi RB, 2 things I can think of. 1st did you get a GOS lock before running? If not, that could be the cause. Else, sometimes Garmins just get a bit screwy. You can do a hard rest and that normally cures everything. Press and hold the power button until the screen fades and then power on again. This should leave all settings and activities intact.

Presuming that you don't have the smart GPS on? (If that's an option on yours)
That can be a bit of a nightmare at times.

I've got the same watch, it's definitely less accurate GPS-wise than my previous one but so egregious as that. It has the odd wobble but broadly given how good the Garmin process is for factory resetting and restoring the watches if it ever got any different to normal id just try that first.

I suggest a hard reset before a factory reset. The first doesn’t lose your settings (and the second does!)

Maybe I'm confusing the terms!! There are so few settings on the watch though that even a full factory reset doesn't take more than a few minutes to put back in shape.
