They seem to have fixed yesterday's outage problem.
I don't like the new appearance. Not everything I want to see is there at a glance.

They've resolved my problem with not being able to get to the detail in the new app. Now I can't get to any data at all. I just get a load of flashing empty squares. Can't decide if it's an improvement or not.

In a controversial, but entirely typical, move I am now starting to quite like the new app

Sigh
I've adapted to it, as long as I can find the info I want quickly then that's all I want from it; it's not like I spend ages on there anyway.

My Garmin set what I think is a new PR in wild inaccuracy on my swim today. Actual distance: 1800m. Garmin distance: 3100m.
On a breakdown of sections (rests inbetween), actual first, then Garmin (in metres):
500/400/400/300/200
1000/800/600/350/350

I quite like the new screen. It doesn't put useless-to-me data like steps, staircases and calories in front of my nose. I hadn't even noticed they were gone until my watch beeped 10000 paces this afternoon.

In Garmin workouts, is there any difference between a rep which is chosen as "recover" and one which is chosen as "rest" in terms of how it is processed by Garmin Connect and passed onto places like here?
Instinctively I would have thought that "rest" would ignore any distance moved / keep it from the pace average etc, whereas "recover" implies a jog recovery in which case I can see why it would include the moving distance / time / pace of the recovery interval. But I can't see any obvious difference?

I've not noticed any difference but I may just be choosing the same one.
I think it's more about the message it tells you one the watch when you reach that step.

I suppose what annoys me is that there isn't an easy way to get the "standing recovery" time displayed on my watch without compromising the resultant average pace of the activity or editing the activity to drop out the rests.
I'm OK with jog recoveries impacting the average pace, but not standing ones. Probably just me being me tbh! Though it does aid in comparability if I do it consistently.
