Fair enough, you're much more used to your readings than me, and like you say the trace looks good (after the first couple of miles).

I wouldn't be surprised if your max HR is a few beats higher based just off this run, but as I said in the 3:15 thread it looks like you managed your effort/pace wonderfully, and ending so near max without really slowing at the end shows me maybe I need to grit my teeth a little more at the end of a mara.

Thanks Brunski. Iโ€™m always learning so thanks for the comment on it. I do keep good notes of races where Iโ€™ve performed well and where my HR reached etc. It may be that my Max could be a beat or two higher but Iโ€™ve never reached 195 in an actual race (my max on field tests involved basically sprinting up a moderate 600m hill three times, and it was awful!).

Anyone had any issues today my Garmin Fenix 5 has not reset the data from yesterday so all still on watch and no resting HR date for 2 days.Usually around midnight the data resets.I have done a soft reset of watch and been outside with GPS on in case that would sort it out but no.

Mine 7x SS did not wake me today.
Is on a alarm schedule every day at 6.
But apparently not Fridays..
How do I gain trust for the alarm now..

Under the repeat section of the alarm it is possible to set custom settings on a per day basis. Just check that the alarm was set for today. Canโ€™t say Iโ€™ve ever had an alarm nor fire but then again I donโ€™t have a 7X.

Welshpoppy, I haven't had that, but for some reason it appears to have reset all my records. It is not an issue for me but I have no idea why it has done it. It is definitely nothing I have done as I have had no reason to play with any settings.

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with running with PacePro in an actual race? If so, how did you find it?

I have a Half coming up and I have the GPX from a previous time I have done the race, and I have a time goal in mind. Mentally, I prefer finishing strong than fading so I have set it up for a slight negative split (I did a slight negative split at my recent marathon, and have done it before at other races; I just know that, for me, I prefer that). I also know I am comparatively a bit poorer on the uphills so I have set it to go a bit slower up those. But I am in two minds as to whether to try it in an actual race, or not.

Big_g, i think its great, you get the race in portions, i used it to run as slow i wanted, since i always do my easy runs to fast, but same difference, and i liked it alot.
