About 75% of my runs are hilly trail runs, and I just use Run all the time, so realise my VO2 Max figure is being held down. The reason I don't use Trail Run activity is I have all the screens set up the way I want under Run, and although I could copy that profile to a new one, I'm not aware that you can copy it to an existing one, ie Trail Run. Not that bothered, if I was, I'd spend 20 mins setting up the Trail Run profile with the same screens as Run, but whether my VO2 max says 56 or 59 doesn't really affect how I run or train or race |

I have an odd kind of problem. I plan a route and upload it to the Epix. When I want to use it I have the choice of «Do Course» or «Do Course in Reverse». The former shows the route correctly, while the latter shows a series of straight lines not following the roads properly. Any idea what is going on? Is this a bug? You can see if yours behaves the same way from your armchair if you have a course on the watch. Course in normal direction behaving correctly Course in reverse not locking to roads |

Thats normal... I never the "do reverse" function, it's useless. Better to go to garmin connect, make a new course with it in reverse, and reupload to the watch.

I suspect it might be just routing between course points so it takes an alternate route sometimes. Sam suggestion is a good one, in fact if you made the course on Garmin Connect I believe there is an option to reverse the course there which should make it easy to re-upload

Thanks, chaps. There is indeed an option to reverse a course in GC. This usually works, but it didn't yesterday for an unknown reason. It is the best way of coping, though, I agree, if this is expected behaviour. It is harder work to re-plot it because it can get quite intricate plotting a route for fetchpoint, sometimes, and my ipad doesn't like editing a fetchpoint route either. Having made a route I sometimes want to reverse it if a see a chance to get a hill-climb of 100+ m.

If you start a course, can you also do it with the pacePro feature?

You can on old models so I am sure you could do on an F7.

Ok great. So when I start a run activity, then I chose a uploaded course. But what next? Start a pacepro as well? |

Yep, you load the course (and it shows the map) then press start and then below 'do course' is PacePro.
