larkim - is there a bridge or other interruption to the path that is not marked properly? The joy of OSM is that you can go & edit it and add the connection. I did one for a local path under a railway line that wasn't correctly showing. It took 4-6 weeks to feed all the way through to the server that Fetch uses, but OSM directly was a lot quicker. It's probably that. Though sometimes OSM does some odd things even in stravas routing. There's one bit of path near me that is perfect on OSM but routes simply can't get through. It's about a 2m issue but I and others have tried loads of approaches to fixing it! |

Feel free to send me the details and I'll have a bash - not saying I'm any better than you & the others, but I am winning 1:0 at the moment vs OSM ! (and it does take some time for the change to flush through to be visible and active, and depends on the servers used - eg does |

Went for a run this morning and foolishly decided to do the suggested workout (I've turned that option off on previous watches). It suggested 55 mins at about 13:30, I think, which was in the ballpark of what I was going to do anyway. Endless meeping of the watch: too slow, too fast, too slow, too fast. It knows where the hills are. I know where the hills are. I cannot maintain a pace up a steep hill without my heart rate going pretty high. I can't see this workout suggestion lark being an option unless you are running on the flat. I'm turning it off as soon as I find the option again. 🙄

The quality of OSM data varies by area. Around us it's great, but that's because I spent a lot of time updating it when we moved here; it was pretty poor beforehand. Also the OSM metadata (iirc) includes whether a route is public access or not, and it might be that the routing engine won't generate routes along private tracks and that could account for surprising routing choices (or as said above, poor route drawing quality).

btw, limejelly the Garmin training/condition assessment copes fine with streaking. If it's giving you values you don't agree with I'd suggest either your thresholds/zones are wrong or you are living in denial of your current state

Is it stuck like that now, with the Garmin triangle? If so, try a soft reset (google how - I can't remember.)
