Ian, useful article, covers all the basics nicely, can you add in something about how to use the navigation stuff and the virtual partner, cos I've mislaid my manual. And do you have any idea where I might have left the USB charging plug - lost it somewhere, probably with the manual I suppose.

Matt, Crikey, the only time I used the virtual training buddy fucntion the little bugger beat me home and used all the hot water in the shower! :-)

Do you mean the mains charger lead? If you lost that then just use the USB lead for your PC and the cradle to charge it. Otherwise, you can use the mains lead.

I'll do a bit on the other functions when I get home. This will be useful because I've never used them. I have used teh workouts though and I liked them but haven't used them for ages...

Ian, if you need any help, shout. I've used most of the functions on mine, including the navigation, route planning/following, etc etc.

Nightjar
I found myself in a debug screen the other day - words like "Stack" and "malloc" and other code monkey bits. I suspect you get to it by pressing up up up down up down enter, or by holding all the keys down at once. The moral of this is don't try to operate it whilst wearing thick gloves.

On the blackened contacts, I have found that scratching it with a key or something works. Probably invalidates the warranty and ruins the sweat resistant coating but it still works! Hasn't been so bad recently, maybe the latest firmware release is required to fix the problem?

Is there any way of having the back light on constantly when running at night?
