Steve - I suspect the reason your schedule starts on a Wednesday is because the 25th June is a Wednesday.

There were problems with the schedules earlier in the year. It seems that upgrading training centre helped some people.

Thanks Parkbench & Phil N .
The timing problem, continues... I've deleted my history and it's still saying that my 37 minute 4 mile run was 19.46 on Training centre - i donp;t have autolap on either...

mine can be sooo annoying because it takes a long time to get signal, sometimes i just give up and start and wait for it to decide to co-operate! other times it randomnly pauses/resumes during the run which is obviously so stupid because im still moving! but i love running with it, it makes running so much more fun and i feel like im acheiving something, i only look at the mileage nothing else, im only concerned about my distance!

Anyone here use the "courses" feature? How does it work. I downloaded the course for the Cambridge Boundary run this-evening ... if I go and join the route at some random point in the circuit will it tell me and then keep me on track? Never done it before.

Yep, I do. It's not bad. Not as good as the handheld etrexs, but it works.
BW, that is roughly how it works. If you go of course and then come back near it, it picks up the course at that nearest point. It takes a bit of getting used to to understand how it works.
I'd suggest putting in a local route and having a play first to get used to it.

Hi elfy13
You can try these, to see if it improves the set up:
1) Turning off 'Autopause'. This should sort out the timer issue you describe.
2) Before I start any running (say, whilst I'm getting changed, or on my way to the gym) I put my 305 out flat, and stationary on a low wall, or on a bench, well prior to starting to run. Once I've got a signal (and perhaps I need to go indoors) I leave the Garmin on, but select 'turn the GPS off' from the menu. This means that when you are finally ready to go, it takes a shorter time to acquire the signal, when you 'turn the GPS back on'.
I can't tell you the exact buttons to press, but its all in the handbook.
Good luck

In the style of Viz mag 'Hot tips'
When coming in from a long run. DON'T throw all running gear including the heart rate monitor into the washing machine as it may ruin it.
