quick question - when i look at my run on the garmin i can see laps in accrued mode (so it reads lap 1 8.30 lap 2 17.20 etc.) can I easily make it display each lap independently (so lap 1 8.30 lap 2 8.40 etc) or do i have to upload the info to a pc to see this?

time of each lap is at the bottom of the screen, assuming you have gone into the view laps screen. I still havent installed my training centre software, soi am getting all info. straight from the garmin.

Sometimes mine adds the run I'm doing to one I did yesterday, as if I hadn't already uploaded yesterday's run, turned it off overnight, and started again the next day! My run today is shown as lap 2 of yesterday's run.
Anyone else have this problem? It's done this twice now.

I've had it do that before - think there's a setting somewhere that you can use to to auto-reset the run depending on the time between stopping and starting again. Alternatively - hold down the lap button and it will reset the run details - storing the old one and letting you start a new run.

I always reset before I switch off. Press reset button for 3 seconds.

Thanks icklechick. I'll have a look for that setting.
The lap button thing--I've tried that, but didn't seem to have any effect... Is it just holding it down for three seconds or so, or am I missing something?

I always reset every run at the end of the session. Just in case I catch the start button again and start the timer going again, because at least then I can just delete the rogue session.
I learnt this after my first marathon. Somewhere between the end of the event and driving home, in my knackered state I caught the start button again and so had the drive home as part of my run! While i liked the speed and distance it gave me, I was annoyed not to have a valid set of data for my first marathon.

I did that after Luton too, flanker. I don't think I stopped the Garmin when I crossed the line and it recorded me all the way home in the car and on the train too!
