I don't believe that actually happens alpenrose

I'm pretty sure it does for me, there's a section that's not possible in the winter and when I start back there in the spring things start appearing again.

The automatic re-accessibling thing doesn't happen for me, I have to do it manually.

I found that too. It happened when what was a farmer's field had a housing estate built on it.

I too found it didn't automatically mark the spots as accessible when I kayaked through the inaccessible spots in the sea.

I may be wrong, but I think the only time I've seen an inaccessible marker become active by running through it was when a flower got planted in its place. When it happened all the surrounding inaccessible were still there. Weeks later when the flower died the spot was accessible again.
It was on a local MOD firing range, but they may have had an open day. Or a TA 5k run

That method would be valid, @RFR. A flower was generated for the spot, so it must be accessible. I can see that one wouldn't necessarily want to mark the whole route as accessible all at once, because, as you say, the accessibility could be temporary. I like the principle of gradually reassigning the accessibility.

Having deliberately created an 'inaccessible' spot on today's run route and then run through it (and foregone 4 points in the process), I can confirm that it's not been automagically reverted.

I have squished my Fetchpoint bug every single day since Friday 8th March 2019. A Fetchpoint record? ;-)

That record ends today Wednesday 2nd October 2024.

It is time for me to leave the game, it has served its purpose for me. The game is designed to get you out to exercise and also to explore your local area. That worked for me. :-)

After many years of playing the game, there is nothing left for me to do with it. With daily outdoor exercise, I have explored every road and path in a large radius.

I reached a score of 50,000 points on 19th March 2022 due to some determined cycling fetcheveryone.com/blog/37839/2022/3/446063 It would be impossible to achieve a score of 100,000.

I admit I have got somewhat sick of those pesky sticky bugs. I squish a bug, and a day or so later a new bug appears in the same area – “No! I went there only yesterday/2 days ago, I don’t want to go back there again so soon!” or “Why have you [the new bug] popped up in the opposite side of my circle to which I need to go today? Now I’ve got to add on 2-3 miles to my journey!” It has become very wearing.

Then there are the phantom “players” which have started sprouting up in areas with all their extraneous traffic lights becoming quite a nuisance.

To those of you still playing Fetchpoint, I hope you are successful in your exploits. :-)

Frequently Asked
===========
1) The scoreboard and markers don't 'reset' on the first of the month any more. They work on a rolling 30 day system.
2) You only need to worry about red bugs.
