So the "tradition" is that American CrossFitters do Murph on Memorial Day weekend, which is the early May Bank Holiday over here.

By my reckoning that gives us 4 weeks to get ready for whatever version we choose to do, and I'm really relaxed about scaling it back to whatever you think is realistic and challenging rather than trying to do the full thing and killing yourself!

Anyone with me? Does that work timings-wise JCB?

Thanks lammo!

That sounds great Nellers. I’ve forgotten when Memorial Day is having not lived there for over 13 years. 🤣 (And not really knowing when it was when I was there.)

I hadn't seen that, HK, but it looks like a good resource for anyone having a go.

I've just done 15 rounds of 5/10/15 this morning. I've not been doing nearly enough pull ups recently to feel terribly confident but I need to start getting myself into shape for another full Murph next month.

Realised that I'd said Memorial day was early May bank holiday. It's actually the late May BH, 31/5 this year I think.

This is actually a bit of a bugger as I'm meant to be away on a long weekend break with the Fam, Covid permitting, so I might have to do some scouting for a suitable location in Hunstanton to be able to give it a go on the day.

Ah just looked it up. Last Monday of May each year is Memorial Day. Hope you’re able to scout out a suitable spot Nellers.

So a month to go until Murph Day.

How are people getting on with their training?

I'm managing some easy runs every few days and I'm up to 4.25km now, so that's looking good for being able to do 2 miles on the day.

I'm also doing the 5/10/15 partitioned reps and I'm getting 10 rounds of that done a couple of times a week, along with all the other general strength and fitness stuff I'm doing.

I'm going to try to build that through the month to 12 then 15 then 18 then 20 rounds to make sure I've got the totals in me.
