On the other hand I called at a Cotswold Outdoor yesterday looking for walking trousers, on the assumption that my current ones (22) will be falling off me soon. Shocked by how little actual activity wear they have - it’s mostly just general leisure wear! Anyhow, tried on th roñé and only sort of walking trouser they had, in a size 20.

I could have got them done up if I’d tried harder, but no way would I be able to walk in them.

Never mind, next walk is t for a few more weeks - I’ll have to source a belt for my existing trousers.

RecG - I splashed out on my Paramo walking trousers because I wanted some good waterproof ones. I've had one of their waterproof coats (called a Velez smock if I recall correctly) for 10 years now and its still going strong. It was perfect for when I walked the Wainwright coast to coast on 2014. I remember a walk leader on a previous walking holiday had some Paramo trousers on a wet walking holiday I was on. We got back in various bedraggled states but he was dry as a bone.

WtnMel - I had a quick look. They look very good - but the size guide doesn’t want to tell me what the dimensions of the larger sizes are, and there don’t appear to be any actual stockists that I could go and try them at.

Alpkit do some good items up to 20 now. For less technical stuff I like M&S Goodmove.

Thanks, Lizzie, I may do that. I don’t want to splash out on expensive stuff when I’m still in transition - save that for when my weight is stable. My current walking trousers are Mountain Warehouse.

Realised this morning that I forgot to update the spreadsheet on Friday. It was down 2.9lb!!

This morning my trendweight has gone down from 111.x kg to 110.x kg. So that is what I am now “defending”. Hopefully the fact I am actually well below it by scale readings and the lag effect will mean that getting through my Easter egg over the next few days won’t bump it back up!

We are also - Easter treat - having a proper pudding at lunch today. It’s a crème brûlée, so not exactly super indulgent. Mind you, my blood glucose has been really good the past few days - basically normal overnight, and not worryingly high after eating either. That could be the effect of the fasting. Or it could be that the sensor I changed to on Thursday is reading a bit low!

When we went to pick up prescriptions on Thursday, they didn’t have my injection in, but said it had been ordered. We’ll see whether it arrives in time or not - I’m due to take it on Wednesday. If it doesn’t come - well, that’s another opportunity to find out how well (or not) my body is able to cope without it. I’m nearly a stone lighter than when I was without it at the start of February, that should make a difference.

RevB - well done, that's a big week's weight loss.

Hope you get your injection meds in time.

No Easter eggs for me. I don't know why, but never bothered with them ever. Am partial to a bit of roast lamb though, might make do with a lamb steak tonight instead.

Shades - we have lamb steaks for lunch, with a couple of new potatoes and a ton of veg. I did think about getting a joint, one of the little ones packed with sea salt and rosemary, said it served “at least two.”

It was seventeen quid!!! Lamb leg steaks it is.

I’ve had a cream egg this morning my goodness they have shrunk!!

I went for lamb yesterday aldi had advertised at £5.49/kg but was £10.49 in the shop! I ended off finding a pork loin joint that was on offer, not our usual choice but Ninja Airfryer group seem to suggest it will work fine. I’ll report back tonight.

Spent the morning sorting some more items for vinted. One to post that I sold yesterday then I’m looking for something nice for lunch. I’m all out of inspiration

I did see that just about all the supermarkets were selling lamb joints half price.

Geordiegirl - I think it was only on certain cuts and sizes, so not all roast lamb joints. Bit of a shopping nightmare and a disappointment. When I was in Aldi it was only the largest joints left at half price.

Found a leg steak in the freezer which I'll have tonight. 😋

I always found Cadbury Cream eggs very sweet, would certainly hit a sugar craving.
