Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Shades. It's ok walking, jumping etc but I can feel it if I try running. It's only uncomfortable not really bad but it just takes the enjoyment out of running.

I don't really know what it is. If you imagine grabbing hold of your right foot/heal it's where your thumb would press. In the squashy bit behind/below ankle bone.

Sharkie that's good going in my opinion. I'm younger than you and I'm only using 3kg for flyes 5kg for most others and 10kg for single dumbbell ones. Sumo squats and another squat that I've forgot the name. I could in theory lift a bit heavier but this is my first time using weights and I don't want to get injured trying to be clever. Plus I don't have any heavier ones. πŸ€”

Pam - oh, I thought it was on the weight bearing part of your heel, underneath where heel touches the floor.

If it's below ankle bone I would guess that's a tendon injury. Kinesiology tape will help and don't run until it's pain free.

You're busy doing other stuff for now so just give it a chance to heal.

Pam runs Thanks! I reckon if you stick to her timings pretty strictly, whatever weight you use will be useful. Yes, flies are hard (my upper body is quite slight) - I also go as low as 3kgs on some of those.

Weights are GREAT for every woman post - ahem- the first flush of youth.

Sorry for barging into thread! Bestest to all of you. x

Shades no it's not when you stand but imagine when you run it sort of thuds. Maybe not the best description. 😁

You’re very welcome Sharkie and those weights are really good! I’m using between 4-12 with 20kg bag for RDLs and some rows or indeed where I can. I could use heavier for some if I had extra weights but not easy two change mid sets. But agree lifting weights is so important.
