Funny that Mel my brother and sister in law are more social with a drink. They gave a decent sized farm house… invite us we’d come and get a taxi and we might have a good night!

Shades - indeed I will. The one I’m currently wearing was the last I had, so I’ve just ordered 3 more. The current one should last until Thursday of next week.
I have to remind myself that the levels I’m currently seeing are good for someone with diabetes, but still above normal. So there is a way to go yet. And, they are while taking two medications. So there’s a further way to go before attempting to withdraw medication.
But the weight loss is rattling along nicely, and I’m feeling great, both physically and emotionally. I’m feeling optimistic I’m feeling younger than my 60 years.

WtnMel - I know Plodding Hippo well and she does indeed love her snazzy leggings.
RevB - you've already made good progress with your diabetes/weight journey. The bonus of feeling great is priceless. If only we could bottle that feeling.

I also know Plodding Hippo def one for colourful leggings and tights and way before the colourful became big business. I do chuckle at my attempt for colourful before the flanci etc movement. Skins brought out black leggings with a pink / green / any colour stripe, then a purple mottled pattern and I was so excited when the wild multi coloured ones arrived! They are all worn to almost threadbare!

Geordiegirl - annoying that virus isn't clearing up quickly. Nothing you can do except be patient.
I ran 7 miles this morning, longest run since September as I've been injured, still recovering. 30 mins upper body session in the gym, having to limit upper body stuff as it niggles my back.
My weight has stabilised for now which is OK as focus is on fat loss and muscle gain.

I’ve downloaded MFP again. I really don’t think I’m eating enough and I certainly don’t take anything back in for any exercise I do. Would a protein shake and natural yogurt be enough to take after exercise?
1,200 is what they’re giving me for a day’s eating and here’s an example: had my breakfast 202 calories and now they’re telling me I’ve still got 1,304 because I’ve been on the treadmill.

MFP gives ridiculously low cals but then over calories for exercise (imho)
I would set your calories much higher - I have mine at 1800 I don’t then eat back exercise cals (unless I’ve done a lot more on a long run)
I use scooby calculator to estimate my calories. Just google scooby calculator.
Great long run and progress shaded.
