Pam runs if your weight has been unstable or going up the first thing is to stabilise it, which it sounds like you have now done. Please don’t give in. Small changes are the way to go xx

Corrah thanks that's a good point I didn't think of it like that.

I'm going to try my fitness pal again for the week.

Morning all, the day didn’t start well because we had planned to go to the leisure centre (me to the gym, Mr for a swim) but only woke up at 10 to 9, and the lane swim stops at 9 for aquafit, so Mr couldn’t swim. I toyed with the idea of going to the gym anyway, but decided instead to do some strength, balance and flexibility exercises at home, since I have a yoga mat and a brain full of ideas. So, about 15 mins in total, and the possibility of a walk later to get the general activity level up.

The scales are being mean at the moment. I record a weight on the spreadsheet on Friday, and they delight in creeping up the next day or two. I do weigh daily, and it’s a WiFi scale so all recorded for posterity. However, it is showing a decrease in fat and increase in muscle, so I’ll forgive it…., for now. I do feel slimmer in the waist and I half thought my face looked a bit slimmer as well.

Today’s other innovation was omelette for breakfast instead of porridge - should be better for blood glucose. Also, when we did the workshop on Saturday and picked up lunch from M&S, I got a salad bowl rather than a sandwich, and that reminded me how much I bloody love a well made salad with a nice dressing (olive oil and balsamic), avocado and the protein of your choice. I’m going to stock up on salary things when we shop later.

My average BG the first 7 days I had the sensor on was 9.3, the second 7 days was 8.5. Here’s to further improvement in the next 7 days.

I have used all the milk, so will have to pick some up before we can have a mid-morning drink - so there’s another walk, as we live 5 mins from Tesco.

All very positive RevB and a good salad is a lovely thing back when I worked in the office I used to make jar salads and everyone always commented how great they looked. I really should make them for home working too as there's no reason why I couldnt still have yummy salads.

talking of drinks I think its breakfast o'clock.

(Me earlier on when the alarm went off ..)
Shall I? Can I be bothered? It IS nice and warm in here (repeat for 10 mins or so).

Then it was 3-2-1 and I got out of bed, got my kit on and walked a brisk 4mls.
I feel better for having done so - but Mrs WM may have to nudge me later to stay awake ;)

A 4 mile walk first thing is bloody heroic, @WtnMel!

And don’t worry, @Hibeedeb, if you are eating right most of the time and doing some exercise, results will follow.
