Delia's slow-cooked veg soup is lovely - it's worth doing it in the oven, and you can swap the veg for whatever you prefer: deliaonline.com |

I tried MFP before but never got on with it. I just try and cut out the snacking .

I am trying (& failing) to cut down phone usage and adding every morsel I to MFP takes time - that’s my justification for not logging all the time. I do if I feel I’m losing track but generally I just try to eat sensibly.

I found it useful to stick to it for a few days to get a feel for working out what felt "good value" for the calorie cost and also forcing myself at the end of the day to say that I had my quota which would determine the size of my end of day meal or whether i could afford any treats I might try some of these suggested soup recipes at the weekend |

I'm using MFP to get an idea what calories are in the food I normally eat. I don't weigh every vegetable etc. I do find logging things stops me having a few biscuits when I go in the kitchen or while I'm cooking tea or just generally anytime. 😁

When you start using MFP it takes a fair bit of time and patience. I thought I ate a really varied diet but in reality I tend to eat the same stuff so logging it now is really quick. I've just eaten the same breakfast as yesterday so was able to copy that meal to today. Re advertisements I only get one a day and I've never paid a subscription. |

Been to the gym this morning and did my strength workout. I’m homing in on the “right” weights for each machine - one at which I can’t complete a set of 12 without a pause. At this precise moment, I can feel my abs. From the inside, I mean - not by touch from the outside! I also (gasp) did a little jog as part of my warm-up on the treadmill….. Breakfast was a 2-egg omelette with peppers and tomato, but this time I added a sprinkle of mixed herbs into the beaten egg. |

Great start to the day Rev. I was up at the crack of dawn for my flight had tea and toast. Had a small flapjack which was offered by BA on the plane. On way to office now and hoping they have a good homemade soup offering. I’m aiming to go to Tesco for a yo sushi salmon poke bowl for tea. I used to find it quick too shades but it seems to have changed and it is searching every ingredient now. I do have meals and recipes saved but one you can’t change ingredients to suit & I always vary things. |

I have used MFP in the past and its useful for learning about macros etc if you are unsure of the composition of foods. I just use the Fast800 app now. I can plan the next week's menu, print off shopping list, buy everything on Sunday then just mark off thr meals as done during the week. Works for me 😊 |

geordiegirl I haven't changed any if my recipes lately so wasn't aware of any changes. I have noticed that sometimes it duplicates an item and I have to delete it. |
