...Until you come to go out for a meal! Then it gets tricky to make good choices, but as we don't eat out *that* often I don't think it really matters if I slip back to my old ways once in a while ;-)

I used to work for someone who had to have very low fat meals for medical reasons. I travelled with him quite often and learnt that most good restaurants will accommodate requests for changes to the menu. So if you're out and want to keep to your way of eating it's worth giving it a go if you think the kitchen might be able to switch a few things around.

That said, I will never order anything other than mushroom ravioli at my favourite restaurant (and always end up taking half of it home as their portions are so huge!)

I have done that over the years too sally, esp when I was travelling a lot with work and stick with hotel/meals out I will ask for sauce on the side for something to be grilled, salad instead of chips. Often easier to say it’s medical.

That said if it’s a special meal or a treat as we don’t eat out often then I have what I want and compensate at other times. We’re off to our fave restaurant on Friday and I will be having my choice of meal - can’t wait.

With a massive turndown in running due to a poorly foot I’ve had to make a conscious effort to not eat more than I need as I am not burning the cals. Got weighed today and STS. Now to keep focused until I’m fixed.

According to my scales I was down 2lbs but fat club says down 1.5lbs so either way it's going in the right direction

Either way a good loss LG.

I’ve not been running as much now for almost 2 weeks 😩 I’ve tried to keep the food intake appropriate the extras are not needed. That said last weekend we had a McDonald’s breakfast and fish & chips got weighted last week and this week and down 1/2lb!! I’m super happy with this.

Went to the office on Tuesday I put on my smallest trousers they were huge even my cardigan swamped me my friend just laughed and said if I needed to offload my too big clothes she needs them. My jeans and all the shorts I bought for Oz last year I can get off & on without loosening them. Shopping trip tomorrow. 😃

Well done LG and gg :)

I'm going to record a STS this week, been yoyoing up and down a lb or so around last week's weight. Average calories for the week below maintenance level, so there's probably a small fat-loss hiding amongst the "water" changes - hopefully I'll see it next week.

Well done LG and GG

I had a 24 hour trip to my parents this week for my Mum’s follow up appointment re new dementia meds - unfortunately I came home with a belated Easter Egg which I have scoffed so no doubt the scales won’t be happy later!!
