Congrats Andy! Hope you get a blue start number! I think there are a few others they invite too. The female attendance record holder isn’t an everpresent but she gets invited to the VIP stuff every year too. She’s a regular at our parkrun and has run well over 600 marathons! |

I love the way LM change the goal posts the whole time. As fetch said is was “end of November” now … “Clubs will be emailed when registrations open with either their allocation of places, or for clubs with 10-39 affiliated members, their ballot result. ” It’s never simple with them is it? |

Thanks for the info re London Marathon @fetcheveryone It’s an amazing experience but not one I’m interested in repeating this (next) year. Hope someone who really wants it gets the chance and has a great run.

Thanks Fetch …. I’m a definite entry into the hat (Begs pathetically for place!) |

@fetcheveryone and all FERCERs Would it be OK to throw name in hat and if it comes out gift the win to someone else? It wouldn't have much impact on anyone else's chances but would boost those of the giftee (is that a word?) |

As someone who's never run London and would like the chance to do it one day, I can't say I'm 100% on board with that. If it's for a non-FERCER, then it takes the place outside the club; while if it's for another FERC member, it skews their chances vs anyone else who's thrown their name in. |

I've thrown my name in the hat as I'm always trying to disprove to people that I need to quit. I'm up to 7-8 miles, so an April marathon is still practical - hopefully in the capital. Wishing whoever gets it a wonderful experience. |

I think it’s a kind thought, Rosehip, but I’m guessing everyone in the ballot really really wants it. I know I do!

You can leave me out of the hat...I'm in no condition to do marathons for a while.
